Through the long years of Abraham Lincoln, he was by far our nations most beloved and our nations greatest president of all time. The things he did for our nation were extrodianary and he would quickly become a legend. Among all of the things he did, the most known is the fact thae he was the one that freed the slaves and he was the one that started the republican party, The party of Abraham lincoln. He went through alot hardships on the road to getting where he did in his life but no matter what happened his stood tall with his head up high in search of fulfulling all of his dreams. He was a great man, A man of freedom.

Abraham Lincoln was born February 12 1809. He grew up not having alot of making due with what he did have. He would soon grow up to becoming a sucessful lawyer winning alot of cases. After that he was known as a United states legislator and soon grew even farther then that. He would become a member of the United states house of representitives and also apply to become an member of the senate which happened to be unsucessful. That falling out really hurt him there but that would not being him down.

After that he knew what he had to do, he was going to run for president and put an end to slavory. At that point America needed a good president because we were going through the American Civil War still. Abraham Lincoln knew that he could guide our nation through one of the worst things that it had been through and he knew that by his will he would fix things among them. Shortly after that he was elected and he started off with his term having great ideas. The nation knew that if they would ever get out of this horrible war this man would be the one to get them out.

After many years of hard work going threw his term Abraham lincoln was able to do what was thought to be the impossible. He ended the war and the confederacy. A while afterwards he also ended slavory. After that he had alot of people that didn't like him even though he gave age to a new kind of government party known as a republic. He was also known as one of the greatest public speaker in history. This really helped our nation, his speeches moved just about everyone when he needed the people of America to be strong.

After the many things he had done for the people, there were still others that didn't agree to well with what he had done, how he had helped. Because of this, they decided they weren't going to let their defeat be a waste. With that, a man assassinated Abraham lincoln during a play. It was the first Presidental Assassination in history. He was killed on April 15, 1865. That was a tragic day for the american people.
